James Garfield is held in high regard and proven a real talent with his third at Royal Ascot. George Scott will be looking to get an easy win here and then take more Group race engagements.
4:05 Newmarket -
Richard Fahey has a string of talented juveniles and Maybride made a great introduction before disappointing at Royal Ascot. This filly is capable of much better and should go well here.
5:55 Newbury -
Eve Johnson Houghton is an astute trainer and Optimum Time ran out a convincing winner on debut before trailing home in the Chesham Stakes Listed Race at Royal Ascot. This is a drop in class and distance. Connections will be hoping for a bold show here.
6:30 Newbury -
Denis Coakley does well with a small string of two-year-olds and capable of springing a surprise. That was the case with Electric Landlady when winning at 20/1. Another filly to have been set a hard task when competing at Group 3 level last time out. Interesting to see how she fares in this lower class.
6:40 Epsom -
George Baker hasn't achieved a great deal with his two-year-olds this season. Chess Move cost a good deal of money and owned by Sir Alex Furgeson. He showed a glimmer of ability on debut although that was a poor race in ways. This son of Kodiac is likely to improve for that first start and could have a fighting chance. From a statistical point of view, this colt has much better claims if priced 13/2 & less SP. I find this stable win or their horses are unplaced so you may be wise to go for a straight win if fancying this juvenile.
