Richard Hannon's string seems to be in fine fettle after a poor start to the season and we have another juvenile who looks capable.
Ghepardo is a daughter of Havana Gold, who drifted markedly in the betting when racing at Bath over the minimum trip.
It looked a tough call opposing a comfortable debut winner in Rock Of Estonia. Considering Charlie Hills son of Society Rock was made 30/100f few punters held out much hope of lowering the colours. Rock Of Estonia had to shoulder a penalty which, as it turned out, nearly proved a tough task.
Ghepardo is a horse of some repute. She travelled with ease on debut and had the favourite in trouble only tiring in the closing stages. It was probably a combination of fitness and tender handling which proves her limitation. She was earmarked to run in the Lily Agnes Stakes (Wednesday) but this race has been selected, I guess, as an easier option. Looks a decent chance here.
